Ileen Schwartz-Henderson

Biographical Statement

Ileen Schwartz-Henderson is the National Director of Bright Spaces for the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children.  She creates trainings for volunteers and develops new programs for collaborations between Bright Horizons employees, the Foundation and agencies to create a portal for services and resources to support children in crisis. She has a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education with a Concentration In Montessori Education.  Ileen has had a long career in Early Childhood, Early Intervention, Counseling and various types of Montessori programs.  Ileen was a center director for a corporate center for Bright Horizons, a director of an early intervention site, a counselor for court adjudicated youth, a teacher of infants through teens, validator for NAEYC, consultant, speaker and Philadelphia cab driver.  Ileen is the creator of My Baby’s First Teacher©™ .

My Baby’s First Teacher, LLC is a for profit company that provides curriculum , support and training to agencies who work with at risk children and families.  Funding is obtained through grants made directly to agencies.  Please see the Funding tab for more info.
